Metellus Pius (ca. 128 - 64/63), römischer Politiker optimatischer (Vertreter des konservativen Adels und Verfechter der Vorherrschaft des Senats) Gesinnung, im Jahr 80 v. Chr. Konsul, bekleidet außerdem das hohe Priesteramt des Pontifex Maximus. Seinen Beinamen Pius (etwa: „der Pflichtgetreue“) erhält er, weil er sich 99 v. Chr. für die Rückberufung seines Vaters aus der Verbannung einsetzt.
Adoptivsohn Quintus Caecilius Metellus Pius Scipio wird 52 v. Chr. Konsul.
